About Cabbagetown Festival

The annual Cabbagetown Festival takes place every September in historic Cabbagetown. Home to an eclectic array of shops and restaurants, Cabbagetown is one of Toronto's most diverse areas. The Cabbagetown Festival is a celebration of everything the neighbourhood has to offer. Regularly attracting over 60 thousand attendees, the Festival is one of Toronto's most exciting events.

The Cabbagetown Festival relies on a team of amazing volunteers to keep things running smoothly. Volunteers may be responsible for a variety of tasks including: 

  • KidZone Supervision (Bouncy Castles, Arts & Crafts, Giant Board games)

  • Setup/Tear Down

  • Gate Supervision

  • Entertainment Support

Volunteering at the Cabbagetown Festival is a fun, easy experience. Perfect for supporters of the community, high school students, or anyone looking to have a fun day in the sun. If you’re looking to make someone’s day a little bit brighter, helping out at the Festival is the place to be. There are 4/5 shifts available to our volunteers. Please see the timing for each shift below:

Saturday, September 7th: 

Set up: 6:00am - 12:00pm.

Morning Activities: 9:00am - 2:45pm.

Afternoon Activities: 2:00pm - 7:30pm.

All-Day Activities: 11:30am - 7:30pm.

Sunday, September 8th:

Set up: 7:00am - 12:00pm.

Morning Activities: 9:00am - 2:45pm. 

Afternoon Activities: 2:00pm - 7:30pm. 

All-Day Activities: 11:30am - 7:30pm.

Tear Down: 4:00pm - 10:00pm.

Food and drink will be provided for ALL volunteers!
